  • 3 cloves garlic minced for aromatic depth

  • 2 tablespoon oil sesame or vegetable oil for sautéing
  • 1-2 green onions sliced for freshness
For the Sauce
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce provides savory base

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar for touch of sweetness
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth enriches dish
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch thickens sauce

Equipment

Method

How to Make Shrimp and Asparagus Stir Fry
  1. Whisk together the stir fry sauce by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chicken broth, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Set it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté asparagus in the same skillet until it’s crisp-tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
  5. Return shrimp to the pan and pour the prepared sauce over everything. Stir well to combine.
  6. Cook until thickened for about 2 minutes, until sauce clings nicely.
