Steps to Make
- In a medium saucepan, mix the fresh cranberries, crushed pineapple with juice, granulated sugar, orange juice, water, and ground cinnamon. Stir well to incorporate everything evenly.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and gently bring the mixture to a boil. Watch it closely as the cranberries begin to pop.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- About a minute before it's done, stir in the orange zest.
- Remove the sauce from heat and allow it to cool. If not serving immediately, refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
